Droogloodsen

On behalf of Koramic Real Estate, Verstraete.team transformed the "droogloodsen," a protected industrial heritage monument, into a modern office building. The design focused on optimal reuse of the existing complex through a box-in-box principle, built-in flexibility for long-term adaptability, an exceptionally well-regulated climate with intelligent hybrid ventilation, and low energy consumption through an advanced energy-efficient design.

By employing the box-in-box principle, the original 1924 building with its initial three levels, each only 2 meters high, was successfully converted into two functional floors. The original façade was preserved, serving the additional purpose of sun shading for the interior spaces.
