In the center of Tielt, we constructed a standalone apartment building with 27 apartments, 3 ground floor commercial spaces, a waste storage area, and an underground parking garage with 44 parking spaces, bicycle storage, and 31 private storage units.

This building consists of 4 floors with a flat roof and an additional rooftop level where 4 building volumes are positioned, excluding the underground level. Although the building is one entity, the facades are designed with a staggered pattern, creating the perception of 4 separate buildings. Access to the underground parking garage, 29 individual storage units, and a communal bicycle storage is provided along Kapellestraat/Bruggestraat.

The use of higher roof edges minimizes the visibility of visually disruptive technical elements. Additionally, each apartment has one or more terraces and a shared green communal area as an inner courtyard. The 4 interconnected volumes each have an elevator and staircase shaft. The building's exterior finishes include white textured plaster (crepi), recessed areas with light-colored masonry, and the rooftop level features contrasting aluminum or solid core panels in black, designed as a green roof. The external joinery is made of thermally broken aluminum.
