St-Monica Chuch
Step by step, with precision and care, we approached the restoration of the stained glass windows to ensure the splendor of the past endures. The works were meticulously planned in two phases, with attention to accessibility and minimal disruption to church services.
Each window was thoroughly inspected and prepared, with special emphasis on safety and protection. Disassembled panels were transported vertically to the workshop, where they were meticulously treated and cleaned.
New brass window bridges were custom-fitted, precisely according to prior measurements, and panels were carefully reinstalled. The choice of a brass alloy ensures durability and protection against corrosion.
Every detail was executed with craftsmanship: from setting the glass panels in new lead nets to applying putty for waterproofing. Even aesthetics were not overlooked, with carefully turned saddle bars for a refined finish.
Finally, with lime mortar, all elements were firmly and waterproofed, both inside and out, so that the restored windows can shine again, protected against wind and rain.
