Maypole celebration marks milestone at Project Léon
Yesterday afternoon, an ancient ritual was revived on Veldstraat in Ghent. A maypole kissed the sky atop the former FNAC building. A sign that Project Léon has reached its peak, a milestone we couldn't let pass unnoticed!
It marks the peak of the structural work but also symbolizes renewal, growth, and unity.
For the former FNAC building, this signifies the completion of the structural work up to its highest point, with plans for an impressive two-story extension above the brand-new Nike store, accommodating 3,000 square meters of modern office space.
For Verstraete.team and Qrf, this was the perfect moment to thank the craftsmen for their hard work with a reception on the rooftop.
Michel De Baets and William Vanmoerkerke (Qrf) along with Toon Declercq (Verstraete.team) placed the maypole in the presence of Alderwoman Sofie Bracke, the construction team, our craftsmen, and numerous guests.
