Verstraete celebrates birthday with the 5th generation at the helm
Verstraete.team is probably one of the oldest construction companies in the province of West Flanders. The Verstraete family has been active in the construction sector for exactly 200 years this year and built dozens of churches, monasteries, factories and apartment buildings throughout the country. 'Initiative, enthusiasm, perseverance and guts are the common thread running through our story,' says Francis Verstraete.
The Beitemse Godelieve Church, the former Rumbeek town hall and the Arsenaal (today KOERS. Museum of Cycling - ed.) on Polenplein. All these monumental buildings in the Rodenbach city have one thing in common: they were built by Verstraete.team, which until recently was known as Verstraetebouw. Our company, where Francis Verstraete is the fifth generation at the helm, is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year and we gave ourselves a new name. 'And that name says it all,' says Francis. 'Our company is based on a close friendship and together we ensure satisfied customers and partners. Anyone who can work in such a team is a happy man or woman. You will find the best employers in companies with a family atmosphere, and we like to be part of that.'
