Binnenhof

An assisted-living flat, also known as a 'service flat', is a residential facility for the over-65s. The facilities in a group of assisted living apartments (GAW) are laid down by Flemish legislation. The legislation provides guidelines on the minimum requirements for each apartment, the building as a whole and the provision of services. Some conditions are wide corridors, good accessibility, provision of a common room, permanence, residents' councils, etc. 

The Binnenhof fully complies with the legislation, you even get more. You can enjoy carefree enjoyment in the Binnenhof! 

You live there in style, with comfort. There is help or on call, support where necessary and independent. You can also enjoy a coffee in the brasserie or a game of petanque in the courtyard with the neighbors. 

In the vicinity you will find various services such as a pharmacy, the supermarket, the large market. Services are also provided at home. Every day you can order fresh bread, the newspaper or your groceries from the supermarket. In addition, our cook is ready every day with a delicious lunch. Our concierge is also always available, should there be anything.

In the Binnenhof there are 54 assisted-living apartments with a surface area ranging from 60 to 116 m². The flats each have an entrance, bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen. The facade of the building is constructed in 'red tiles', an innovative architecture in Roeselare. The residence has four floors and a roof; the ground floor provides commercial spaces and common areas with a view of the spacious inner garden, or Binnenhof. 

The Binnenhof is the prime example of a Design-Build-Finance-Maintain-Operate project (DBFMO). Based on the experiences in the Binnenhof, Verstraete can now respond even better to the needs of the older population. This encourages the development of new concepts and adapted housing.
