Herzele
WZC Ter Leen
Next to the old Ter Leen residential care center, the VZW Sint-Vincentius Aaigem, in collaboration with the OCMW Herzele, has constructed a new residential care center.
The residential care center consists of three wings, housing a total of 116 rooms (equivalent to 120 beds). Out of these beds, 70 are managed by the OCMW Herzele, while the remaining 50 beds are owned by the Eclips care group.
The building comprises four floors, except for the central wing which also includes a basement level. Each room is equipped with its own bathroom, complete with a toilet, sink, and walk-in shower. Additionally, each floor has two communal bathrooms featuring a raised/lowered bathtub.
The main challenge of this project was the timeline. We were assigned the project at the end of October 2016 and it had to be completed by mid-December 2017.
The building was delivered on Friday, December 15, 2017, and the first residents were able to move in on Monday, December 18. Therefore, we successfully met the designated deadline for this project!
