To restore the grandeur of the iconic monument and restore its status, this groundbreaking total project is being realized in collaboration with the internationally acclaimed David Chipperfield Architects and the restoration architects of Origin. The design shows an innovative way of repurposing, celebrating the historic qualities of the building, and only allowing interventions that reinforce the original idea of ​​the building.

The new The Grand will fulfill various functions. There will be 70 apartments with varied surfaces. In addition, the ground floor will be open to the general public. The historic bar and brasserie on the Zeedijk side will be restored. In addition, there will be room for three spacious commercial premises on the Albert I-laan side. In this way, this beautiful heritage comes to life again and is given a new role in Nieuwpoort-Bad.
